Gentle systems to ease daily overwhelm

Welcome to Soft Systems

Life can be overwhelming - it’s a normal part of the human experience.

Sometimes it’s caused by difficult experiences, other times by good things piling up all at once. Either way, when overwhelm becomes chronic, it can quietly derail your life. A stack of mail grows, a corner of your home accumulates clutter, or some healthy habits fall away. This doesn’t happen because you’re lazy. It happens because you are tired and you’re using your energy to keep up with more urgent things.

Sometimes you just need a little help.

I created Soft Systems to support people in managing the side effects of overwhelm. Together, we’ll identify the areas of your life causing the most stress. Then we’ll gently clean those up, return you to a calmer baseline, and build simple systems to help you maintain that peace. With regular check-ins, we’ll adjust what’s not working and adapt your system to the changes life throws your way.

Overwhelm happens to everyone, but that doesn’t mean you have to manage it alone. ♡

About Me

Hi there, I’m Kara Gendron and welcome to Soft Systems

I’m no stranger to overwhelm. As a Highly Sensitive Person (HSP — someone with a finely tuned nervous system who can become easily overstimulated), I often found modern life to be too much. Add in owning a home solo, navigating chronic migraines, and working full-time as a veterinarian, and I constantly had more on my plate than I could comfortably manage.

During those years, I went on many deep dives: learning how to work more efficiently, organize the nitty-gritty details of daily life, create a more supportive environment, and build in moments of calm. These strategies weren’t just nice to have, they were essential.

Now, in my next chapter, I’m offering the kind of support I once desperately needed. Soft Systems is my way of helping others who are still in the midst of it — whether that’s cluttered spaces, scattered paperwork, unsustainable routines, or just a sense that everything feels like too much.

If that sounds familiar, you’ve come to the right place.
